Social Welfare Office
The Social Welfare Office is a public service for anyone residing in Schifflange under the legislation in force:
- Law of 18 December 2009 organising social assistance
- Law of 28 July 2018 organising the REVIS
The social-assistance staff has several missions:
- To help (in a palliative, curative or preventive way) with access to social rights, statutory benefits, financial aid and other material assistance;
- To listen and provide support in the event of social problems;
- To give social, psychological, budgetary, administrative and educational advice;
- To inform about all existing aid and benefit services in Luxembourg;
- To refer and guide towards other specialised services;
- To offer social support in the short, medium and long term;
- To take charge of financial management;
- To ensure a first response in the field of social emergencies;

The ARIS staff is only competent to handle the files of REVIS beneficiaries. Its missions are:
- to promote social inclusion
- to help develop professional skills through activation measures
- to organise stabilisation measures
- to refer to other specialised services
- to support beneficiaries in their social and professional projects
