3 Years of “Tobacco‑Free Municipality” – A Positive assessment and a roundtable discussion

On 3 June, the Fondation Cancer brought together its partners – including the Municipality of Schifflange – to present an initial assessment and to take part in a roundtable discussion organised as part of the “Commune sans Tabac” campaign.

It was encouraging to see that more and more partners and municipalities are joining this meaningful and important initiative. The campaign aims above all to protect our children and future generations. The objective is to build a smoke‑free and tobacco‑free society. By 2040, we hope to see the first tobacco‑free generation grow up.

The Municipality of Schifflange is proud to have been the first municipality in the country to receive the Silver Label at the beginning of this year. We will continue our efforts and commitment to actively contribute to achieving this major public health goal.
