1. Strongman Cup zu Schëffleng

1 st Strongman Cup in Schifflange

On 30 May, Schifflange hosted its very first Strongman competition. During the “Wildhogs Strongman Cup”, held on the parking area of the Hall Polyvalent, male and female athletes showcased their strength throughout the day under intense heat, completing five strength disciplines. One of the highlights was a 12‑ton truck pulled over a distance of 20 metres by the competitors. The Syndicat d’Initiative provided the catering, and many spectators came to enjoy the impressive show.

The youngest participant, Ayman Chafik from Germany, was just 16 years old, while Martin Schulz, aged 54, was the oldest. Another German athlete, Jan‑Nicllaas Balzer , demonstrated that the sport can be practised even with a physical impairment. The competition was ultimately won by Tahai Sava Wang (DE), followed by Moritz Kühne (DE) and French athlete Manuel Leduc. The medals and the winner’s cup were presented by alderman Yves Marchi and municipal councillor Jérôme Courtier.
