Citizens’ workshop: Diversity and the fight against discrimination
On 18 July 2026, the Municipality of Schifflange organised its second citizens’ workshop as part of its efforts to promote intercultural coexistence. Interested residents gathered at Salle Grand-Duc Jean to discuss diversity and the fight against discrimination.
The event began with breakfast in a friendly atmosphere. This was followed by an interactive game about intercultural life in Schifflange, which broke the ice and sparked discussion.
At several themed tables, participants shared their experiences, developed ideas and actively explored concrete solutions. The resulting reflections and proposals were then presented to the whole group.
To conclude the workshop, the Mayor Carlo Feiereisen addressed the participants and warmly thanked everyone for their participation and commitment. He emphasised that everyone is welcome in Schifflange, regardless of their background or personal journey.
The Municipality of Schifflange warmly thanks everyone who registered for and participated in this citizens’ workshop. Thanks to their commitment, the Municipality now has many concrete suggestions for improving community life and responding more effectively to the needs of its residents. We would also like to thank the municipal advisers from the Ministry of Family Affairs and ASTI for their contribution to facilitating the different themed tables.
