Correctly sorting organic waste
The Municipality of Schifflange has observed that organic waste bins often contain foreign materials. To address this issue, bio bins will be checked before collection in the coming months and evaluated using a card system: green, yellow and red cards.

A GREEN card for bio bins without foreign materials
A YELLOW card for bio bins with a small amount of foreign materials
A RED card for bio bins containing too many foreign materials
Bio bins that receive a RED card will not be emptied. Households concerned must remove all non‑compostable materials and present their bio bin again at the next collection.
